| After a gestation of 362 days our waiting was over. A llama's average gestation is 350 days but can range 2 weeks or more either side. |

4:00 p.m. It was a normal presentation of front feet & head first, although Blanca lay down and with a few heaves baby slipped out. It is also quite normal for a female to stand during delivery. |
| Within a couple of hours your baby should be on his feet looking for a drink at the Colostrum Cafe. | ![]()

A mother's kisses of reassurance, the world is truly a beautiful place. Llamas are one of the few species of animals that don't lick their babies dry. |

Baby and mother find
shelter in the barn, as it was now starting to drizzle.
